The La Feria Lions Basketball team completed the first half of 32-4A Play on a high note. A 5-0 start to the first half showed how dominant the Lions were. Now heading into the second round of 32-4A, the Lions were looking to keep the dominant run going.
So far into the second half of District play, La Feria continues with the All Gas-No Brakes mentality. Here is what we have seen from the Lions in round two of 32-4A.
Opening up the second half was Hidalgo. What was a shootout in their first meeting, another battle was expected in the second meeting as well. Well that proved to be the case as La Feria and Hidalgo clashed, with the Lions coming out on top in a Nail biter 39-38.
In the second meeting, La Feria took on another foe in Brownsville Jubilee. The Titans took over the first quarter leading by one. The Lions erupted on offense and continued to outscored the Titans on route to a 56-46 victory.
Up next were the Valley View Tigers. La Feria dominated in the first game and were aiming for a repeat performance. The Lions took control early and never looked back, cruising to a 68-32 win.
Now 8-0, the Lions have two more games to attempt a perfect district season. Not only a chance at being perfect, The Lions also are in reach of a 32-4A Title.
La Feria has all the tools necessary to capture a gold ball, and add another district title to the shelf.
