- Updated: April 21, 2025

By Mike Villarreal
Congratulations to the La Feria ECHS Color Guard for their outstanding performance at the prestigious Texas Educational Colorguard Association TECA State Championships held in San Antonio on Saturday, April 12th. The Color Guard achieved an impressive 6th place finish, distinguishing themselves as the highest-ranked small school in the competition.
The TECA State Championships represent the pinnacle of the competitive season for members of the Texas Educational Colorguard Association. This annual multi-day event draws together the most talented color guards, percussion ensembles, and wind ensembles from across the state, providing them with a platform to showcase their artistry, precision, and dedication.
Furthermore, we would like to extend our heartfelt congratulations to Elisa Cavazos, who applied for the Texas Educational Colorguard Association Student Scholarship and was honored with the TECA Scholarship. Her commitment and hard work exemplify the spirit of excellence that the Color Guard embodies.
