LA FERIA, TX – Judy Gail Power, 64, of La Feria, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, September 3, 2016. She was born June 16, 1952 and attended La Feria schools, graduating from Baylor University. Judy dedicated her life to teaching, coaching and finally serving as principal, all in the La Feria school system, followed by four years as principal in Mercedes, TX.
Judy is survived by her partner, Diane Bramblett, her sister-in-law, Sandra Power, her nephew, Bryan (Caroline) Power, and niece, Becky (Bob) Rach, and many great nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Steve and Vaulterene Power, and her brother, Don Power.
A celebration of Judy’s life will be held Saturday, October 15, 2016, 1 p.m. at Ram’s, west of La Feria on the frontage road. A meal will follow the service. Please, no flowers.
Memorial contributions can be made to any youth or educational organization in Judy’s honor.
