Shrdlu the Office Cat – He’s real
- Updated: May 19, 2017
We’ve been asked, quite often whether Shrdlu, our Office Cat is real or just a fictional character. All we can say about that animal is that he is real and we wish he was a fictional character.
Shrdlu really is not the blackish, ungainly creature you take him to be, as he is revealed in the usual photo cuts accompanying this column. Actually he is a reddish, ungainly creature who gets himself blacked up in printer’s ink.
Like we do, most of the time.
We like to make conversation about Shrdlu because it makes about as much sense as talking about the weather and politics.
Both of which are getting hot.
This installment of Shrdlu our Office Cat ran in the May 27, 1948 issue of La Feria News.
