Congregation and Volunteers Build Ramps for Disabled
- Updated: October 6, 2017
The First United Methodist Church of La Feria has been instrumental in organizing groups across the Rio Grande Valley to build wheelchair ramps for those who are in need of this service. No one should be a prisoner in their own homes.
The initiative is part of the Texas Ramp Project located in Dallas.
If you are interested in volunteering, they build most second Saturdays of each month from 8am to noon.
The group meets in the church parking lot at 331 S. Main across from Tiny Town Park. For more information, contact Alan Moore at 245-9163 or visit www.TexasRamps.org.
