La Feria News
After falling short in the 16-4A D1 Opener vs Alice, The La Feria Lions looked to turn things around against the Tuloso-Midway Warriors. A dominant powerhouse from the Coastal Bend.
The Warriors wasted no time as the offense stole the show, scoring multiple times to make it a 27-0 lead in the first quarter. The Lions in the second quarter were able to get a touchdown on the board, but the Warriors were able to get 13 more points up to make it 40-7 at the half.
Tuloso-Midway only grabbed one more touchdown in the second half and kept the Lions scoreless for the remainder of the night. Tuloso-Midway would go on to win 47-7.
Now 0-2 in Disitrict, La Feria looks to bounce back as they will take on another powerhouse in Calallen. The Lions will have a tough road ahead with only a handful of district games remaining in the 2023 season.
