La Feria ISD’s Back-to-School Expo & Rally took place on Tuesday, August 5, at the La Feria Early College High School Gymnasium. It was an incredible night with a great turnout! La Feria ISD would like to extend a huge thank you to everyone who attended and helped them kick off the new school year.
The evening was filled with engaging activities, valuable resources, and a strong sense of community that energized families for the upcoming school year. This inclusive event welcomed all students and families from every campus within the district.
Attendees took advantage of a variety of free services and resources designed to make the transition back to school smoother. Services included complimentary student haircuts provided by local stylists, book giveaways to encourage reading, and distributions of backpacks filled with essential school supplies. Additionally, food bank services were available for families in need.
Parents and students also had the opportunity to explore numerous school programs, including a showcase of the ACE (Afterschool Centers on Education) program, which offers enriching afterschool activities. Information on career and college readiness, special services available within the district, English as a Second Language (ESL) resources, and technology assistance was also provided.
The Expo also featured lively performances by the talented school band, energetic cheerleaders, the spirited Gold Stars, and so much more. Families were also able to capture a memorable moment by taking a photo with the beloved Lion mascot.
