Pueblo Tires in La Feria is Officially Open

You may have already seen the bright Pueblo Tires sign-off of Expressway 83. Well, Pueblo Tires is excited to announce that they’re officially open and ready to serve the wonderful residents of La Feria and neighboring areas. Owner, Rickey Ivey, was raised on a farm near the Rio Grande River and attended New Mexico State University and UT El Paso, where he honed his skills in electricity, construction, and concrete.

Ricky joined the family business, Pueblo Tires, in 1986 at the request of his father. He and his brother Jeffrey opened a new Pueblo Tires in Brownsville, and by 1990, the company had grown to 11 stores and a re-tread facility in Corpus Christi.

Although they had to close some of their stores in 1992 due to a decline in sales, Ricky and his team have implemented new procedures to make our daily operations more efficient.

Ricky has become a local celebrity with his signature character, ‘The Colonel,’ dressed in a white suit, cowboy hat, and mustache, and his catchphrase, ‘Shampoozie!’ Pueblo Tires is also proud of their slogan, ‘Think Tires…Think Pueblo!’, which has become well-known throughout the Rio Grande Valley.

Es posible que ya haya visto el brillante letrero de Pueblo Tires en la autopista 83. Bueno, Pueblo Tires se complace en anunciar que están oficialmente abiertos y listos para servir a los maravillosos residentes de La Feria y áreas vecinas. El propietario, Rickey Ivey, se crió en una granja cerca del río Grande y asistió a la Universidad Estatal de Nuevo México y a UT El Paso, donde perfeccionó sus habilidades en electricidad, construcción y concreto.

Ricky se incorporó al negocio familiar, Pueblo Tires, en 1986 a petición de su padre. Él y su hermano Jeffrey abrieron un nuevo Pueblo Tires en Brownsville y, en 1990, la empresa había crecido hasta contar con 11 tiendas y una instalación de recauchutado en Corpus Christi.

Aunque tuvieron que cerrar algunas de sus tiendas en 1992 debido a una caída en las ventas, Ricky y su equipo implementaron nuevos procedimientos para hacer nuestras operaciones diarias más eficientes.
Ricky se ha convertido en una celebridad local con su personaje característico, ‘El Coronel’, vestido con un traje blanco, sombrero de vaquero y bigote, y su eslogan, ‘Shampoozie!’ Pueblo Tires también se enorgullece de su eslogan, ‘Think Tires…Think Pueblo!’, que se ha vuelto muy conocido en todo el Valle del Río Grande.
