December 20th, 2021 —The La Feria Police Department held the 4th annual Christmas Toy Giveaway event last Monday, December 20th. Kids were eager in anticipation to see what kind of toys or games they could get! Families were wrapped around the City Hall building waiting in line to get their kid’s a gift for the holidays.
From 4 pm to 7 pm Police Officers stood by and helped hand gifts out to children along with our very own Mayor of La Feria, Olga Maldonado.
The tables were full of gifts for all the kids. The Police Department received a sum of around 1,200 toys that they passed out. Making sure everyone gets a quality toy during the holidays this year.
They also had great holiday music to help spread the cheer as well as a place to take pictures with Santa Claus. The backdrops were custom made by ‘It’s a Jolly Thing’.
Also, there were several businesses that donated a sponsor spot on the “Merry Christmas & Happy New Year” truck banner, which helped make this Gift Giveaway event possible!
Thank you to all the sponsors that helped make someone’s day, and most importantly thank you to our Police Department for keeping our children safe and handing out gifts during the Holidays!
