La Feria, Texas — With the heavy rains from early last week, it has brought a slight slowdown on the projects happening in La Feria.
Public Works Director, Alfonso Rodriguez shares that though this will have a slight delay it will only push them back about three days.
“But we’ll just work around it” Rodriguez says, “Everything else is going smoothly,”
When asked about Scott Sloan park, Rodriguez says they’ve just started and are making good progress. They should be finished in about a week’s time. Once that is finished they move on to Memorial park.
In a story titled “City Makes Moves on Park Renovations”, La Feria News shares the Fitness Court the city will be having at Veterans Memorial Park. This 38×38 foot outdoor fitness court will be equipped with various body-weight exercises through the National Fitness Campaign. A campaign that promotes bodyweight exercising and encourages people from all ranges to work out in a fun and safe manner all while enjoying the great outdoors.
The project will start in about a week and should only take a few days to complete. Once it’s all finished the City hopes to have an event in celebration of the new developments.
Lastly, in regards to the work on Commercial, Rodriguez thanks the public for being patient and understanding as the progress is being made.
