La Feria News
The La Feria Lions boys basketball team is on a three-game win streak. Needing wins to stay in the 32-4A race, here is what La Feria had accomplished so far in District.
La Feria knocked off the Grulla Gators in a wild 46-44 matchup. Then the Lions took on the Hidalgo in their second district meeting. In what was a back and forth battle at first, La Feria broke it open in the second half with some key offense. La Feria would hold on to win 58-42.
La Feria then faced off against the Jubilee Titans. Thanks to a strong offense, La Feria was able to hold off Jubilee 58-42
La Feria improved to 8-2 in District 32-4A. With the playoff race heating up, The Lions will have three more games left in district. Port Isabel on February 6. La Feria will take on Zapata on February 10 and wrap up District Action against Raymondville on February 13.
Currently, La Feria is third in 32-4A. Port Isabel sits in first, Zapata in second and Grulla in fourth.
