The La Feria Lions took on the H.M. King Brahmas in Week 10 of the 2022 Texas High School Football Season. With one more week to go, the Lions were playing in their final game of the regular season as they have their BYE Week in Week 11. Building up a head of steam, La Feria won their last two games over Hidalgo and Zapata, so the Lions were looking to continue the momentum. Last season, La Feria defeated H.M. King 43-13 on their way to a District Title.

Defense played a key factor for the Lions as La Feria was able to limit the Brahmas to just two touchdowns on the entire night, while the offense also ran wild for the Lions. Efficient playmaking and ball control was the tempo La Feria set for the game on offense, while the defense played solid and was able to shut down the Brahmas. La Feria’s offense would continue the momentum as the Lions would hold on to win 42-14 over the Brahmas.

The Regular Season for La Feria has been a complete Roller Coaster. In Non-District Play, La Feria went 3-1. The Lions lost the season opener against Donna, but bounced back with three straight wins over PSJA Southwest, Brownsville Pace and Mercedes. District Play for La Feria got off to a rough start as the Lions would lose their first three matchups against Alice, Tuloso-Midway and Calallen. The Lions again were able to bounce back to win their last three district games over Hidalgo, Zapata and H.M. King. Their last three matches were crucial if the Lions were looking to punch their ticket to the postseason as the four seed.
